{306/365} bracing for it

If every November day in Minnesota could be like today, winter would be a little easier to take.

Day 52 ~ frosty, foggy morning

The frost and fog were spectacular this morning. The photo above shows the beautiful frost, and below, the fog, which hovered just at the tree tops.

Winter is magical.

Day 49 ~ Aspens in sunlight

by napangel on 18 February 2010

in Project 365

The sunlight was incredibly beautiful late this afternoon, so I took the city streets home, hoping to find an inspiring view. I drove through Mounds Park and shot a few frames, but they weren’t quite right. On the way past Battle Creek Park, I saw this little scene. The trees looked like they were on fire!

Most days, this 365 project feels a lot like a treasure hunt. I think I hit the jackpot today.

Day 48 ~ forest sunset

This isn’t as crisp as I’d like it, but I love the sun coming through the trees. It reminds me of a Bev Doolittle painting. Can you see any pintos in there?
